Advocate for Change

We advocate for change, in society and in the state legislature, within the limits of the 501(h) election in the Internal Revenue Code.

Raising Awareness

We will speaking at public events, churches, in schools, in the workplace – anywhere we find people willing to listen, we will talk about foster children and foster care issues.  E-mail fosterjustice@live.com to book us for your event.

Think Tank” Workshops

Twice a year we will invite foster parents, foster alumni, guardians ad litem, judges, law enforcement officers, therapists, health professionals and other interested persons to meet to discuss foster care issues, analyze all sides of an issue, and make policy recommendations.  Reports from these think tank sessions will be made public and presented to the legislature.

Testimony on Legislation

We testify on children’s rights and foster care issues before the Washington State Legislature when in session. We will mobilize volunteers a will participate in public hearings held by the legislature.

E-mail and Media Advocacy

During the legislative session, we e-mail supporters and the press with regular legislative updates on child welfare bills before the legislature.  Get on our e-mail list and become “telephone warriors” contacting your representatives in support of foster children.
